Alveley United's Rod England got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Alveley United's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Goodwin came free, but Graham Skinner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Liskeard's Kris Kirkpatrick got control of the ball when Rod England tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Don Horseman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liskeard's supporters rose to their feet, but Don Horseman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Graham Skinner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Graham Skinner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Goodwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bob Couzens kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Rod England recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Alveley United's Rod England dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Tony Croxford kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Graham Skinner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Goodwin in the 40th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rod England was the one to do the kick off. Rod England scored 2-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kris Kirkpatrick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
