Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jasper Griffin took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jasper Griffin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scott Joy having to interfere. When Trevor Beesley came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Lasham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trevor Beesley couldn't finish the play. Mark Clifford's late challenge caught a Lasham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mark Clifford helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Mark Clifford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Trevor Beesley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott Joy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Hutchinson scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brynn Sledge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 12 minutes, Ron Huckerby mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walshaw United and the Lasham players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 12 played minutes Walshaw United got a freekick which was hit by Ron Huckerby. Scott Joy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trevor Beesley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jasper Griffin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gary Greaves kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Lasham's Brynn Sledge got control of the ball when Matt Spink tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brynn Sledge was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sebastian Hutchinson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. After 33 played minutes, Lasham's Felix Nightingale shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Scott Joy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lasham reached it. When Trevor Beesley came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Lasham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trevor Beesley couldn't finish the play. After having played for 39 minutes, Jasper Griffin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lasham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jasper Griffin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Hutchinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brynn Sledge having to interfere. With a little luck, Lasham's Brynn Sledge got control of the ball when Matt Spink tried to sneak it across the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Walshaw United's goal looked a bit too open when Jasper Griffin came free, but Scott Joy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Hutchinson made a kick off. Lasham's Gary Greaves pulled a muscle in his back after 55 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ron Huckerby was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 56th match minute, Walshaw United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron Huckerby to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Keanu King fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Scott Joy, passed just outside the right post. If Matt Spink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matt Spink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brynn Sledge having to interfere. Vincent Dumpleton hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Walshaw United's Scott Joy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Dumpleton in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Rory Haskell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walshaw United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rory Haskell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trevor Beesleys short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Scott Joy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matt Spink's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brynn Sledge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
