In the 7th minute, Nigel Cawood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zak Locke hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Rod Joy hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Karl Argent could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Robin Pitts made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Cawood in the 24th minute of play forced Sheerness FC's goalkeeper Bob Aldridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matt McCormick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Sheerness FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Bannister came free, but Bob Aldridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Sheerness FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gregory Fox came free, but Bob Aldridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl Argent was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregory Fox got free with Bob Aldridge in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robin Pitts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Argent in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tettenhall United's zone, Joshua Faith stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Pitts came out of the goal and Joshua Faith tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sheerness FC's Karl Argent in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bob Aldridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Cawood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Nigel Cawood dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bob Aldridge, 0-2. In the 79th minute Syd Holden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Aldridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregory Fox got free with Bob Aldridge in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tettenhall United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
