Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Bangladeño's Len Noble got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Len Noble received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ralf Osborn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Barry Downes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ralf Osborn was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 10th minute Geoff Ridsdale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Osborn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tod Brazier struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Larry Langsford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Withington United. Matthew Wall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry Langsford having to interfere. Karl Bromley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Larry Langsford made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Karl Bromley sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Withington United booed when Bangladeño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnnie Jefferson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Withington United's Matthew Wall got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matthew Wall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry Langsford having to interfere. Matthew Wall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Larry Langsford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Larry Langsford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvester Colton in the 35th minute of the match. Karl Bromley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Larry Langsford having to make a save. The goalkeeper, Larry Langsford, was totally fooled by Withington United's Karl Bromley, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Silvester Colton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry Langsford having to interfere. Ralf Osborn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geoff Ridsdale in the 73rd minute of play. Dan Rider's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Larry Langsford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Silvester Colton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 83 played minutes Withington United got a freekick which was hit by Silvester Colton. In the 83rd minute, Silvester Colton fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Larry Langsford. When Tod Brazier came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Withington United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tod Brazier couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Bangladeño getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Dominic Hardcastle hit a great ball. Withington United's Matthew Wall got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matthew Wall hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Bangladeño's Larry Langsford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Wall in the 92nd minute of play. Ralf Osborn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barry Downes in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Withington United had played much better football throughout.
