Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alf Froggatt made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 5 minutes, Matt Couch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelmsford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matt Couch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Callum Couzens kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 10 played minutes, Arsenal Football Club's Miles Easter shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tod Gale came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arsenal Football Club reached it. Martin Ambrose made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phillip Dove in the 14th minute. In the 19th minute Dave Robinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Gale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matt Couch hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 27 played minutes Chelmsford got a freekick which was hit by Stan Leather. Geoff Sullivan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Ambrose having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Stan Leather ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Ambrose was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Stan Leather hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geoff Sullivan made a kick off. If Geoff Sullivan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phillip Dove recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Geoff Sullivan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Arsenal Football Club's Callum Couzens got a free kick in the 58th minute. The audience cheered when Lance Pearson's long shot passed Martin Ambrose's right side. It was 2-0, 59 minutes into the match. Martin Ambrose showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillip Dove in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phillip Dove in the 64th minute of play forced Arsenal Football Club's goalkeeper Martin Ambrose to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Phillip Dove ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Ambrose was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Geoff Sullivan hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. A collision led to Arsenal Football Club getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dave Robinson hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Geoff Sullivan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelmsford's supporters rose to their feet, but Geoff Sullivan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Ambrose breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dave Robinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Gale having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Bart Winship was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chelmsford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal Football Club the free kick. Bart Winship hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Chelmsford's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Froggatt came free, but Tod Gale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes of play Chelmsford's Bart Winship was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Chelmsford's Tod Gale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Chelmsford from getting a goal against them. After 82 played minutes Arsenal Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Greenman. Phillip Dove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Ambrose having to interfere. Chelmsford's Tod Gale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Chelmsford from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal Football Club's zone, Phillip Dove stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Ambrose came out of the goal and Phillip Dove tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arsenal Football Club's Martin Ambrose played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip Dove in the 94th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chelmsford had played much better football throughout.
