Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Billy Eastwood started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Billy Eastwood received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jermaine Crowther came out and tried to block the shot, but Billy Eastwood slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. If Spike Corby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ken Sullivan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimmy Flack having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Bedlington's zone, Bryan Bourton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmy Flack came out of the goal and Bryan Bourton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Bedlington's goal looked a bit too open when Ken Sullivan came free, but Jimmy Flack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Bedlington's Billy Eastwood dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Jimmy Flack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ken Sullivan, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Ken Sullivan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Billy Eastwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ken Sullivan made a kick off. With a little luck, Bedlington's Jimmy Flack got control of the ball when Bryan Bourton tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Billy Eastwood had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jermaine Crowther. Hucknall's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Billy Eastwood was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Hucknall's zone, Spike Corby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jermaine Crowther came out of the goal and Spike Corby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Billy Eastwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jermaine Crowther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Gordon Forrest hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Billy Eastwood in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jermaine Crowther prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72nd match minute, Hucknall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Leach to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Spike Corby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Billy Eastwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Crowther having to interfere. Jermaine Crowther took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Eastwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ross Hay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Crowther having to interfere. Bedlington's Spike Corby got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Bedlington were the better team. Bedlington's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
