Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hucknall's Ken Sullivan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nigel Cawood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ricky Bannister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 8 minutes, Gregory Fox managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tettenhall United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregory Fox was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hucknall's Jermaine Crowther played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Cawood in the 10th minute of play. Jermaine Crowther came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Tettenhall United's Gregory Fox. But to his dismay, Gregory Fox quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jermaine Crowther showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Cawood, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Gregory Fox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Ken Sullivan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nigel Cawood took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jermaine Crowther. Jermaine Crowther dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Gregory Fox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jermaine Crowther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30th play minutes Gregory Fox shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Jermaine Crowther and just under the crossbar into goal. Jermaine Crowther showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregory Fox, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Ken Sullivan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hucknall booed when Tettenhall United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Syd Holden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Pitts came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Hucknall's Ken Sullivan. But to his dismay, Ken Sullivan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.

51 minutes into the game, Gregory Fox was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tettenhall United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hucknall the free kick. Gregory Fox's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Jermaine Crowther skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Nigel Cawood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ken Sullivan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Robin Pitts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cliff Mortlock fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hucknall's protests and gave Cliff Mortlock a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hucknall's Cliff Mortlock got a free kick in the 70th minute. Kelvin Wellings's shot from long distance in the 71st minute was not bad at all, but Hucknall's Jermaine Crowther knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Jermaine Crowther made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Cawood in the 74th minute of play. Jermaine Crowther showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nigel Cawood, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Gregory Fox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jermaine Crowther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jermaine Crowther stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nigel Cawood's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. In the 80th match minute, Hucknall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gordon Forrest to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Kelvin Wellings sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hucknall's Jermaine Crowther didn't even have to move. If Nigel Cawood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tettenhall United's Nigel Cawood in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hucknall's goalie prevented a goal. Gregory Fox struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jermaine Crowther didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tettenhall United. After a rather tough play, Tettenhall United's Syd Holden got a free kick in the 89th minute. Robin Pitts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Bourton, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Syd Holden's late challenge caught a Hucknall's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Syd Holden helped the player get up and apologised. Ken Sullivan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Pitts having to interfere. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hucknall's goalkeeper Jermaine Crowther, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 97 minutes Hucknall's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kelvin Wellings who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hucknall's goalie and right to Ricky Bannister. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hucknall's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Tettenhall United played a much better game than Hucknall and deserved their victory. The Hucknall players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
