Will Glasby stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clive Bowler's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Tommy Byfield blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Les Gibbs having to make a save. If Clive Bowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clive Bowler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jake Mowlem hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Rupert Warburton charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rupert Warburton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rupert Warburton kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Clive Bowler came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Beckton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clive Bowler couldn't finish the play. In the 24thth minute of the game Tommy Byfield who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beckton's Les Gibbs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Tommy Byfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 minutes, Marc Crowther mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Howden and the Beckton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marc Crowther hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Tommy Byfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Les Gibbs having to interfere. A collision led to Beckton getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rupert Warburton hit a great ball. Les Gibbs was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tommy Byfield showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. Tommy Byfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Les Gibbs having to interfere. The supporters of Howden booed when Beckton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tristan Greenfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. Howden's Will Glasby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clive Bowler in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Howden's Tommy Byfield got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Beckton's Johnnie Bennett ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Will Glasby. Will Glasby yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After 55 minutes Howden's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Clive Bowler who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Beckton's Rupert Warburton to a score. 2-3 in the 55th minute. Will Glasby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clive Bowler in the 61st minute. 2-4 became the score in the 62nd minute when Clive Bowler elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Les Gibbs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Byfield in the 68th minute of play. Clive Bowler kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 75thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Howden's keeper Will Glasby was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Clive Bowler in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Will Glasby, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Beckton's Les Gibbs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alistair Brown in the 84th minute of play. Nigel Hodgson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Les Gibbs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Byfield in the 91st minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Howden's goalkeeper Will Glasby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clive Bowler. The Beckton players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
