Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 160) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Walter Atkinson got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes Castletown got a freekick which was hit by Miles Chiverton. Samuel Bennett scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincent Frampton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th minute, Walter Atkinson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Maradona FC's Jonny Hicks got control of the ball when Ricky Oldham tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vincent Frampton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Atkinson in the 24th minute of the match. Ron Tipton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Maradona FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ron Tipton hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Walter Atkinson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maradona FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Oscar Lowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toby Harland kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Vincent Frampton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Atkinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
53 minutes into the game, one of Maradona FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Maradona FC's Ron Tipton got a free kick in the 59th minute. Vincent Frampton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Bennett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Oscar Lowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Maradona FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rowan Watson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Castletown's zone, Walter Atkinson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vincent Frampton came out of the goal and Walter Atkinson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 76 played minutes Castletown got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Jowsey. Carlton Croft hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Samuel Bennett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maradona FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Bennett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vincent Frampton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the game, Nathan Stead was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castletown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maradona FC the free kick. After 88 played minutes Castletown got a freekick which was hit by Nathan Stead. Samuel Bennett's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vincent Frampton firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ron Tipton's late challenge caught a Castletown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ron Tipton helped the player get up and apologised.
