Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) After a defensive mix-up in Walmley AFC's zone, CJ Beverley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greg Paine came out of the goal and CJ Beverley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If CJ Beverley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max Linkletter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Greg Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Southeast Coast FC's goalkeeper Joseph Bannister had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Pollard. If Max Linkletter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If CJ Beverley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Walmley AFC's zone, Roy Wellings stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greg Paine came out of the goal and Roy Wellings tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Walmley AFC's goalkeeper Greg Paine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Max Linkletter might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Greg Paine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Max Linkletter ran back to his position shaking his head. Roy Wellings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Greg Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Roy Wellings managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southeast Coast FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Wellings was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CJ Beverley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Greg Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greg Paine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from CJ Beverley, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Southeast Coast FC's Clive Wiseman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Greg Paine made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Max Linkletter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When CJ Beverley came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Southeast Coast FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that CJ Beverley couldn't finish the play. After the first half Southeast Coast FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
51 minutes into the match, Southeast Coast FC's Max Linkletter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Greg Paine narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 54th minute of the match, Max Linkletter tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Greg Paine saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Harvey Beasley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Walmley AFC's zone, Harvey Beasley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greg Paine came out of the goal and Harvey Beasley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling CJ Beverley in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Greg Paine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Harvey Beasley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Paine having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Roy Wellings cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Greg Paine was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Walmley AFC's zone, Harvey Beasley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greg Paine came out of the goal and Harvey Beasley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Walmley AFC's Damion Dumpleton got a free kick in the 67th minute. Harvey Beasley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Greg Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Roy Wellings recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Greg Paine. Roy Wellings showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After having played for 74 minutes, Roy Wellings managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southeast Coast FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Wellings was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Roy Wellings had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Syd Boulton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Winstanley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Greg Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When CJ Beverley came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Southeast Coast FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that CJ Beverley couldn't finish the play. Greg Paine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Linkletter in the 85th minute of play. Wally Ellershaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Greg Paine was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Max Linkletter showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 91 minute of play. The Walmley AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Southeast Coast FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
