Joseph Bannister showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warren Newland in the 6th minute of the match. Bob Watson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tommy Winstanley in the 8th minute. Bob Watson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Linkletter in the 11th minute of play. When Roy Wellings came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Southeast Coast FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Wellings couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, Southeast Coast FC's Max Linkletter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bob Watson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Danny Beerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Warren Newland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joseph Bannister. Southeast Coast FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Warren Newland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tommy Winstanley hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Warren Newland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Joseph Bannister tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48thth minute of the game Max Linkletter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Swanmore's Bob Watson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Joseph Bannister was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Danny Beerman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Danny Beerman really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. In the 57thth minute of the game Phillip Butcher who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Southeast Coast FC's Joseph Bannister was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bob Watson came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Southeast Coast FC's Tommy Winstanley. But to his dismay, Tommy Winstanley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 62 played minutes Swanmore got a freekick which was hit by Damion Bradbury. In the 63rd minute, Doug Briant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danny Beerman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joseph Bannister firmly grabbed it by the left post. Doug Briant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Bob Watson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Swanmore players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
