Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danny Sledge got free with Damion Lonsdale in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Gus Westerby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stalybridge United's supporters rose to their feet, but Gus Westerby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Spike Collier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damion Lonsdale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephen Partridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damion Lonsdale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen Partridge in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Stalybridge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasey Cheeseman to maneuver through the defense. Deon Porter hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute Callum Black shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spike Collier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Stalybridge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gus Westerby to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franz Osborn got free with Damion Lonsdale in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, Ludlow FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gus Westerby came free, but Spike Collier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Stalybridge United's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Partridge came free, but Damion Lonsdale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Stalybridge United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Callum Black sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gus Westerby to make the kick off. A collision led to Stalybridge United getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Albert Stockley hit a great ball. Bobby Pitts, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Deon Porter kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Damion Lonsdale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damon Moyse went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franz Osborn in the 59th minute of play forced Stalybridge United's goalkeeper Damion Lonsdale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sidney Freeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Spike Collier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deon Porter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spike Collier having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Stalybridge United's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Sledge came free, but Damion Lonsdale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Stalybridge United's goal looked a bit too open when Damon Moyse came free, but Damion Lonsdale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 played minutes Stalybridge United got a freekick which was hit by Deon Porter. A collision led to Ludlow FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Damon Moyse hit a great ball. With a little luck, Ludlow FC's Spike Collier got control of the ball when Gus Westerby tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Callum Black had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damion Lonsdale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephen Partridge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Stalybridge United's Sidney Freeman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Spike Collier. That made the score 2-3 after 94 minutes of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stalybridge United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
