In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Downham Market AFC's goalkeeper Des Yeo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexander Fountain struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Des Yeo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Binsted. Rich Pascoe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jake Burley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Downham Market AFC's Rich Pascoe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jake Burley. Jake Burley yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Des Yeo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justin Collier in the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Kieran Draper mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Downham Market AFC and the Binsted players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kristopher Heath took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Des Yeo. Downham Market AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Rich Pascoe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Jay Floyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Des Yeo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Fountain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Oldham hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Rich Pascoe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jake Burley having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay Floyd in the 48th minute of play forced Binsted's goalkeeper Jake Burley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jay Floyd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexander Fountain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Piers Ripley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Des Yeo. The goal made the score 1-2. If Rich Pascoe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Fountain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jay Floyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 83rd minute of the match Kieran Draper completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kieran Draper a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 84th match minute, Downham Market AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kieran Draper to maneuver through the defense. Downham Market AFC's Des Yeo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Downham Market AFC from getting a goal against them.
