Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stephen Partridge kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes, Lennie Litchfield mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Basildon and the Ludlow FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lennie Litchfield hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Stephen Partridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Dawson having to interfere. After 11 played minutes Basildon got a freekick which was hit by Kris Bond. When Ludlow FC's Stephen Partridge in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Basildon's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17th minute, Damon Moyse made a precise shot to the right of Guy Dawson. Basildon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After having played for 21 minutes, Samuel Duffield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basildon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Duffield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Basildon's Guy Dawson got control of the ball when Damon Moyse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Basildon's Guy Dawson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Basildon from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute Stephen Partridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guy Dawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Stephen Partridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuel Duffield made a kick off. Spike Collier made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Jamal Dawson sent off a good shot on target. Basildon's Guy Dawson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephen Partridge in the 54th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damon Moyse in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guy Dawson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the game, Franz Osborn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ludlow FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Basildon the free kick. Jamal Dawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spike Collier having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Damon Moyse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Damon Moyse came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ludlow FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damon Moyse couldn't finish the play. Damon Moyse took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guy Dawson. Guy Dawson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Stephen Partridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Stephen Partridge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Guy Dawson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Basildon's goalkeeper Guy Dawson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Ludlow FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Will Culverhouse hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the game, Samuel Duffield lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Spike Collier. In the 89th minute Stephen Partridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guy Dawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guy Dawson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Partridge in the 91st minute of play. Ludlow FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
