Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) ZORA's Kirk Bentley started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, ZORA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Forrest to maneuver through the defense. Spike Collier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kirk Bentley went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 13th minute, Samuel Winship hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Wayne Sherwood came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the ZORA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wayne Sherwood couldn't finish the play. If Stephen Partridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludlow FC's Spike Collier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirk Bentley in the 22nd minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Ludlow FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damon Moyse to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute Jude Clough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spike Collier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kirk Bentley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Spike Collier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of ZORA booed when Ludlow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Sledge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stephen Partridge to make the kick off. ZORA's Ivan Garner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damon Moyse in the 54th minute of play. Stephen Partridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ivan Garner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kirk Bentley in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Spike Collier saved Ludlow FC from getting behind. Kirk Bentley in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Spike Collier, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jude Clough could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Spike Collier made a huge save. Stephen Partridge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Garner having to make a save. If Damon Moyse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Spike Collier stood somewhat misplaced when Kirk Bentley came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 72 minute. 75 minutes into the game, Lance Forrest was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ZORA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ludlow FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, ZORA's Lance Forrest got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Damon Moyse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stephen Partridge struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ivan Garner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ludlow FC. In the 88th minute, Stephen Partridge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Damon Moyse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ludlow FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damon Moyse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Garner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute Stephen Partridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Garner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Lance Forrest hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ludlow FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ZORA's performance. The match ended with a win for ZORA.
