The referee ignored Stalybridge United's protests and gave Deon Porter a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Stalybridge United got a freekick which was hit by Deon Porter. The supporters of ATTACK CLUB booed when Stalybridge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasey Cheeseman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Stalybridge United defense, Guy Frizzell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damion Lonsdale. The Stalybridge United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damion Lonsdale should have stopped the shot. When Rod Le Tissier came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the ATTACK CLUB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rod Le Tissier couldn't finish the play. Sidney Freeman kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. If Guy Frizzell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damion Lonsdale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dylan Lambert, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Stalybridge United's goalkeeper Damion Lonsdale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dylan Lambert. Rod Le Tissier in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Damion Lonsdale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Rod Le Tissier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damion Lonsdale was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. The Stalybridge United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ATTACK CLUB were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
