Rich Pascoe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Rackenford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jay Floyd came free, but Lenny Beadel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerome Barber in the 14th minute of play forced Downham Market AFC's goalkeeper Des Yeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinnie Osbourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Des Yeo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Rackenford AFC's Jerome Barber nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Des Yeo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Rackenford AFC booed when Downham Market AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jay Floyd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rich Pascoe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenny Beadel having to interfere. Downham Market AFC's Des Yeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerome Barber in the 33rd minute of play. Jerome Barber took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Des Yeo. Des Yeo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Jerome Barber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jay Floyd made a kick off. Rackenford AFC's Lenny Beadel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rich Pascoe in the 55th minute of play. Des Yeo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. In the 62nd minute, Jacob Forrester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Jay Floyd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny Beadel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garry Borrowdale's late challenge caught a Downham Market AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Garry Borrowdale helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute Jay Floyd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny Beadel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rich Pascoe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rich Pascoe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Jay Floyd cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Lenny Beadel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rackenford AFC's goalkeeper Lenny Beadel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Jerome Barber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kieran Draper during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Downham Market AFC's Rich Pascoe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lenny Beadel narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
