Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Binsted's Jake Burley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Black in the 4th minute of play. Alexander Fountain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Damion Lonsdale made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piers Ripley in the 8th minute of play forced Stalybridge United's goalkeeper Damion Lonsdale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glenn Almond during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Binsted got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Almond. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stalybridge United's goalkeeper Damion Lonsdale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damion Lonsdale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Fountain in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Gus Westerby sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jake Burley skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Stalybridge United's Deon Porter got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Kristopher Heath, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Mattias Potterton fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Binsted's protests and gave Mattias Potterton a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gus Westerby in the 34th minute of play forced Binsted's goalkeeper Jake Burley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Callum Black sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gus Westerby to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Stalybridge United's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Crossley came free, but Damion Lonsdale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Piers Ripley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damion Lonsdale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Freeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 66 in the game by Gus Westerby from a close distance when the talented Jake Burley managed to make a qualified save. Binsted's players were relieved. Binsted's Jake Burley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Binsted from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute Rod Crossley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damion Lonsdale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Binsted's Jake Burley got control of the ball when Gus Westerby tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damion Lonsdale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piers Ripley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Binsted fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stalybridge United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
