The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vitinho Seco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 7th playminute. Wally Kay charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wally Kay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes, Caversham's Sam Goldthorpe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ariel Seme came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caversham reached it. Henry Ely in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Denis Ainsworth, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 19 minutes into the match, ATHLETIC GLORY - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Jake Saville came free, but Ariel Seme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Ainsworth was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Agnaldo Mandrak capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Agnaldo Mandrak really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Ariel Seme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhys Deacon in the 30th minute of play. Denis Ainsworth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitinho Seco in the 34th minute. Agnaldo Mandrak might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denis Ainsworth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agnaldo Mandrak ran back to his position shaking his head. Caversham's Denis Ainsworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agnaldo Mandrak in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to ATHLETIC GLORY - FDFDF getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Li Xiong hit a great ball. Ariel Seme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhys Deacon in the 43rd minute of play. If Li Xiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rhys Deacon was the one to do the kick off. Vitinho Seco took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Ainsworth. Denis Ainsworth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Denis Ainsworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Wally Kay was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 57 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, one of ATHLETIC GLORY - FDFDF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ATHLETIC GLORY - FDFDF. When the match had been going on for 58 minutes, Caversham's Sam Goldthorpe got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ariel Seme. Crispin Bullard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Seme having to interfere. Sam Goldthorpe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ariel Seme. ATHLETIC GLORY - FDFDF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Crispin Bullard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Agnaldo Mandrak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denis Ainsworth. Caversham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agnaldo Mandrak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After 77 minutes of play, ATHLETIC GLORY - FDFDF's Vitinho Seco made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denis Ainsworth was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Mauro-Iván Tabilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Byfield took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ariel Seme. ATHLETIC GLORY - FDFDF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Caversham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Byfield to maneuver through the defense. Denis Ainsworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that ATHLETIC GLORY - FDFDF were the better team. ATHLETIC GLORY - FDFDF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
