Bashundhara Kings Footbal's Aquilino Jobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Haskell in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, William Haskell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aquilino Jobo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Syleth Stars's zone, Dan Bean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denis Brooks came out of the goal and Dan Bean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sammy Ford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Brooks having to interfere. A collision led to Bashundhara Kings Footbal getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Josh Lewington hit a great ball. Dan Bean's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Denis Brooks firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

William Haskell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Aquilino Jobo made a huge save. Wally Farmer's late challenge caught a Bashundhara Kings Footbal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wally Farmer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Syleth Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wally Farmer to maneuver through the defense. Dan Bean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, William Haskell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Syleth Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but William Haskell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Jobo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Bean in the 67th minute of play forced Syleth Stars's goalkeeper Denis Brooks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Sancho charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Sancho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th match minute, Bashundhara Kings Footbal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sancho to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bashundhara Kings Footbal booed when Syleth Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glyn Beresford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josh Lewington hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. William Haskell's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Aquilino Jobo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Denis Brooks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Ford in the 77th minute of play. Denis Brooks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Bean, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Sammy Ford notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Syleth Stars's Denis Brooks. Denis Brooks was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Sammy Ford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denis Brooks was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. William Haskell took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquilino Jobo. Aquilino Jobo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2.
