Guruswamy Bal in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kulvinder Basu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kulvinder Basu made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Guruswamy Bal sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Birmingham Selly Oak's Anavatapta Parmar got a free kick in the 8th minute. Guruswamy Bal in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kulvinder Basu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kulvinder Basu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krtalaksana Thiara in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guruswamy Bal got free with Kulvinder Basu in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guruswamy Bal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kulvinder Basu having to interfere. With a little luck, Birmingham Selly Oak's Kulvinder Basu got control of the ball when Guruswamy Bal tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Bembridge's goal looked a bit too open when Cudaratna Nandu came free, but Aryaman Ghoshal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Guruswamy Bal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kulvinder Basu. Guruswamy Bal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Anupa Naik hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Kuldeep Chauhan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bembridge's Aryaman Ghoshal didn't even have to move. Aryaman Ghoshal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cudaratna Nandu went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Krtalaksana Thiara made a precise shot to the right of Kulvinder Basu. Birmingham Selly Oak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 40th minute, Guruswamy Bal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kulvinder Basu. The goal made the score 3-1. Aryaman Ghoshal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cudaratna Nandu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guruswamy Bal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Birmingham Selly Oak's zone, Krtalaksana Thiara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kulvinder Basu came out of the goal and Krtalaksana Thiara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grht Biswas kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Kuldeep Chauhan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bembridge's Guruswamy Bal got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kulvinder Basu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guruswamy Bal, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Guruswamy Bal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kulvinder Basu. Birmingham Selly Oak's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guruswamy Bal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. When Bembridge's Guruswamy Bal, in the 75th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Bembridge. If Krtalaksana Thiara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birmingham Selly Oak's Kulvinder Basu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guruswamy Bal in the 83rd minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Bembridge's Guruswamy Bal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kulvinder Basu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, Birmingham Selly Oak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuldeep Chauhan to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Birmingham Selly Oak booed when Bembridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dipak Kumar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bembridge walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
