But to his dismay, Rajluxmi Thakur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Budh Rathore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Swapna Sengupta having to interfere. The supporters of Chichester booed when Raigarh City F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gausra Rahul didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Raigarh City F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Budh Rathore came free, but Swapna Sengupta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Chichester's goal looked a bit too open when Harbans Dias came free, but Amarika Ralte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Raigarh City F.C.'s protests and gave Amanpreet Rekhi a yellow card for diving instead. Amarika Ralte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harbans Dias in the 31st minute of the match. Ajinka Mitra charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ajinka Mitra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
