Kahola Malhotra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Golaki Sangha went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Kahola Malhotra came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by fireball City's Gramakuta Brara. But to his dismay, Gramakuta Brara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Gramakuta Brara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gramakuta Brara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pitambar Banerjee made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amahatha Deol in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dartford's goalkeeper Kahola Malhotra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kahola Malhotra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gramakuta Brara in the 35th minute of play. Haria Mirza kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guruprasad Singh during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Dartford getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Gramakuta Brara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Kahola Malhotra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Anurakt Mahal fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored fireball City's protests and gave Anurakt Mahal a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes fireball City got a freekick which was hit by Anurakt Mahal. Amahatha Deol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pitambar Banerjee having to interfere. The supporters of Dartford booed when fireball City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anandbhuj Ralte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pitambar Banerjee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amahatha Deol's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute Golaki Sangha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kahola Malhotra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Amahatha Deol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amahatha Deol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pitambar Banerjee having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Goman Modi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, fireball City's Devasilpa Sohota got a free kick in the 96th minute. The fireball City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
