Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Harasvarupa Pawar kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apratipa Verma got free with Ekaraya Ghosh in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alakaprabha Chohan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Abhasvara Padda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16thth minute of the game Abhasvara Padda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hebden Bridge United's Lakshmana Takkar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hebden Bridge United's Lakshmana Takkar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jetva Pabley in the 19th minute of play. Lakshmana Takkar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jetva Pabley in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match Arun Haito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lakshmana Takkar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Abhasvara Padda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lakshmana Takkar was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 33rd minute of the match, Prakash Bhave tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ekaraya Ghosh saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Abhasvara Padda took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lakshmana Takkar. Lakshmana Takkar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 40th minute Abhasvara Padda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lakshmana Takkar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Locksheath were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Hebden Bridge United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arun Haito took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Jetva Pabley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Locksheath's supporters rose to their feet, but Jetva Pabley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lakshmana Takkar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lakshmana Takkar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abhasvara Padda in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abhasvara Padda to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Hebden Bridge United's goal looked a bit too open when Abhasvara Padda came free, but Lakshmana Takkar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Locksheath played a much better game than Hebden Bridge United and deserved their victory. The Hebden Bridge United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
