In the 14thth minute of the game Raghuvenderpal Srivastava who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HYDERABAD SULTANS's Naginderjit Varghese was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harshal Hira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Agnimitra Sawant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harshal Hira in the 24th minute of play forced Long Lawford FC's goalkeeper Agnimitra Sawant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Naginderjit Varghese was a little too slow when Arthadarsin Jadeja got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-2. After some careless play in the Long Lawford FC defense, Harshal Hira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agnimitra Sawant. The Long Lawford FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agnimitra Sawant should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Naginderjit Varghese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raghuvenderpal Srivastava, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Long Lawford FC's Agnimitra Sawant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Long Lawford FC from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. HYDERABAD SULTANS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
