Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sandown's Jasalina Sohal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Dharanija Padda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ashok Warwaha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anupriya Varma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baladhika Lachenpa in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the game, one of Sandown:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ashok Warwaha came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Calcuta Athletic Rangers's Dharanija Padda. But to his dismay, Dharanija Padda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Duleep Ghag sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ashok Warwaha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duleep Ghag in the 20th minute of play. Duleep Ghag received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ashok Warwaha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Sandown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahvana Pahwa to maneuver through the defense. Ashok Warwaha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duleep Ghag, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Dharanija Padda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Dharanija Padda made the kick off in the second half. When Kapilan Khahera came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Calcuta Athletic Rangers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kapilan Khahera couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Sandown's zone, Duleep Ghag stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ashok Warwaha came out of the goal and Duleep Ghag tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ashok Warwaha was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Kapilan Khahera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kapilan Khahera really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Sanjay Krishnamurthy's late challenge caught a Sandown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sanjay Krishnamurthy helped the player get up and apologised. Sanjay Krishnamurthy kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Calcuta Athletic Rangers's Anupriya Varma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baladhika Lachenpa in the 63rd minute of play. Anupriya Varma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahvana Pahwa in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Calcuta Athletic Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Baladhika Lachenpa came free, but Anupriya Varma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dharanija Padda received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ashok Warwaha came out and tried to block the shot, but Dharanija Padda slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 73rd minute. After 75 played minutes Sandown got a freekick which was hit by Sriram Basu. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandown's goalkeeper Ashok Warwaha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Calcuta Athletic Rangers's Anupriya Varma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baladhika Lachenpa in the 88th minute of play. Duleep Ghag received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ashok Warwaha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kapilan Khahera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashok Warwaha having to interfere. Calcuta Athletic Rangers played a much better game than Sandown and deserved their victory. The Sandown players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
