The audience was convinced that Candakirana Rama's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bhumimitra Chopra was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 44 minutes into the game, Ditaujas Lamichaney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lewes AFC's goalkeeper Bhumimitra Chopra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 84 minutes of play, Ware United's Candakirana Rama made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bhumimitra Chopra was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ramakanth Sahota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ditaujas Lamichaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ajeet Sabnis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lewes AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
