The referee gave Poster FC a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gopinath Vaidya, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sovrino SC's Lech Dzerwucki. 0-1. Sovrino SC were furious when Narottam Dango was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. If Ksitilavabhuj Mehra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes, Manu Chhugani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poster FC and the Sovrino SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manu Chhugani hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Sovrino SC's goal looked a bit too open when Basanta Sandhu came free, but Lech Dzerwucki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kandarpaketu Chauhan hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, Palla Kumar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poster FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sovrino SC the free kick. Apantaratamas Aulakh might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jagadbala Aulakh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Apantaratamas Aulakh ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Apantaratamas Aulakh was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Poster FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Janaswami Shergill was slow to take the kick. During this time Sovrino SC's players had a chance to rest. Apantaratamas Aulakh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apantaratamas Aulakh in the 60th minute of play forced Poster FC's goalkeeper Jagadbala Aulakh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Poster FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Apantaratamas Aulakh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Basanta Sandhu kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, Poster FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kanvar Dutta to maneuver through the defense. During the 90th minute of the match Palla Kumar completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Palla Kumar a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Poster FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
