Ikroop Lal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angabhu Sangma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abhranaga Kadam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jalasa Warwaha made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, Kamasrama Shahraj reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jalasa Warwaha. The goal made the score 1-1. With his leg Jalasa Warwaha managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Luv de Lasan's Abhranaga Kadam fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jalasa Warwaha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abhranaga Kadam in the 45th minute of the match. With a little luck, Newton Heath FC's Jalasa Warwaha got control of the ball when Sham Chakma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Newton Heath FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kamasrama Shahraj was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.
