Ikroop Lal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dhanajita Subba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Phoenix Fire's goal looked a bit too open when Ana Dias came free, but Dhavalapaksa Saxena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ikroop Lal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dhanajita Subba, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Krtsnavid Chettri charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Krtsnavid Chettri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Krtsnavid Chettri kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Dhanajita Subba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harikanta Dango received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ikroop Lal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abhranaga Kadam was the one to do the kick off. Kamasrama Shahraj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dhanajita Subba hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 62ndth minute of the game Abhranaga Kadam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Phoenix Fire's Dhavalapaksa Saxena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Danasagara Rane kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Druha Rani fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luv de Lasan's protests and gave Druha Rani a yellow card for diving instead. 70 minutes into the game, one of Luv de Lasan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Phoenix Fire's Dhanajita Subba got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ikroop Lal. 74 minutes into the match, Luv de Lasan's goal looked a bit too open when Harikanta Dango came free, but Ikroop Lal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harikanta Dango received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ikroop Lal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dhanajita Subba came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Phoenix Fire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dhanajita Subba couldn't finish the play. When Luv de Lasan's Abhranaga Kadam in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Phoenix Fire's goalie prevented a goal. Luv de Lasan's Adimula Nair got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luv de Lasan's Ikroop Lal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dhanajita Subba in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ana Dias in the 92nd minute of play forced Phoenix Fire's goalkeeper Dhavalapaksa Saxena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Fire's Danasagara Rane got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute Ana Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dhavalapaksa Saxena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
