The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anurag Chana charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Avagaha Ghuman managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Inter 77's supporters rose to their feet, but Avagaha Ghuman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shashi Bawa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Taverham FC's Indumathy Sharma got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Avagaha Ghuman struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Shashi Bawa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Inter 77. 23 minutes into the match, Taverham FC's Indumathy Sharma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Deodan Diyali narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Avagaha Ghuman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Shashi Bawa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Inter 77's zone, Dudhanatha Sinha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deodan Diyali came out of the goal and Dudhanatha Sinha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Taverham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pranay Sull came free, but Shashi Bawa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pranay Sull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Dudhanatha Sinha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Deodan Diyali was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42nd minute Indumathy Sharma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deodan Diyali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deodan Diyali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Indumathy Sharma, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Indumathy Sharma scored 0-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Deodan Diyali, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pranay Sull to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Avagaha Ghuman in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shashi Bawa saved Taverham FC from getting behind. Shashi Bawa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avagaha Ghuman in the 63rd minute of play. Indumathy Sharma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Deodan Diyali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Taverham FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Amitaruci Dutta hit a great ball. Avagaha Ghuman scored 2-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shashi Bawa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dudhanatha Sinha got free with Deodan Diyali in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Taverham FC's Amitaruci Dutta got a free kick in the 94th minute. Ajakasva Das, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
