Spectators: 7703 (Terracing: 5779, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Khullana Pal started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Horsham FC's Harilala Pannu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sardar Lyngdoh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 10 minutes, Srinivasa Kale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horsham FC and the Dorney City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Horsham FC's Srinivasa Kale got a free kick in the 11th minute. Citapati Mandal took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cancu Chopra. Cancu Chopra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Dorney City's Jatinderpreet Pawar got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harilala Pannu struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Sardar Lyngdoh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horsham FC. In the 23rd minute of the match Harinath Shankar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cancu Chopra skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Horsham FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Karnavira Pind hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Dorney City's goal looked a bit too open when Harilala Pannu came free, but Sardar Lyngdoh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harilala Pannu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Khullana Pal struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Sardar Lyngdoh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horsham FC. After some careless play in the Dorney City defense, Harilala Pannu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sardar Lyngdoh. The Dorney City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sardar Lyngdoh should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jatinderpreet Pawar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sardar Lyngdoh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harilala Pannu in the 55th minute. With a little luck, Dorney City's Sardar Lyngdoh got control of the ball when Harilala Pannu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 played minutes Dorney City got a freekick which was hit by Dhandapani Sabharwal. In the 60th minute, Dorney City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Khullana Pal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Harilala Pannu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Khullana Pal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sardar Lyngdoh. Khullana Pal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Khullana Pal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Sardar Lyngdoh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorney City's Citapati Mandal got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Horsham FC's Khullana Pal in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dorney City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 93rd minute, Harilala Pannu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Harilala Pannu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Dorney City fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Horsham FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
