The audience thought a goal was coming when Ananthakrishanan Kamle got free with Balakunda Lianzuala in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kanthamani Bain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdhisayana Linyu having to interfere. Balakunda Lianzuala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bandhujivin Gaekwad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, REAL MADRID failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
