Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Agnirajan Chand made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balavirya Thakkur in the 3rd minute of play forced Maldon's goalkeeper Anshul Pannu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anshul Pannu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kameswar Dango in the 4th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Waterfoot United's zone, Agnirajan Chand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agnivirya Nigam came out of the goal and Agnirajan Chand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barinder Bakshi took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anshul Pannu. Anshul Pannu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Maldon's Arana Parmar got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maldon's Anshul Pannu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kameswar Dango in the 21st minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Maldon's goal looked a bit too open when Kameswar Dango came free, but Anshul Pannu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Maldon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haranath Sahota to maneuver through the defense. Anshul Pannu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barinder Bakshi in the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Arana Parmar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maldon's supporters rose to their feet, but Arana Parmar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agnivirya Nigam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the match, Kameswar Dango notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Maldon's Anshul Pannu. Anshul Pannu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Maldon's Arana Parmar got a free kick in the 40th minute. Waterfoot United's Agnivirya Nigam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Waterfoot United from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barinder Bakshi to make the kick off. If Agnirajan Chand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agnivirya Nigam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arana Parmar in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Agnirajan Chand ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agnivirya Nigam was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. A collision led to Maldon getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Duleep Kelkar hit a great ball. Agnirajan Chand scored 2-3 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Agnivirya Nigam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 72 played minutes Waterfoot United got a freekick which was hit by Barinder Bakshi. After a defensive mix-up in Waterfoot United's zone, Agnirajan Chand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agnivirya Nigam came out of the goal and Agnirajan Chand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Arana Parmar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Arana Parmar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agnivirya Nigam. Waterfoot United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arana Parmar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 93rd minute, Arana Parmar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waterfoot United's Tulsi Kals couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 94th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Maldon. The supporters of Waterfoot United booed when Maldon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haranath Sahota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kameswar Dango could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Anshul Pannu made a huge save.
