Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Manjit Sohota had several of the Godalming City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 15 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ajitanatha Saxena as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ratilal Sabdhu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 21 played minutes, Godalming City's Aloísio de Salles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Shekhar Sabnis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Godalming City reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kalaraja Patil during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hurst Green's Kalaraja Patil got a free kick in the 26th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Augusto Pimenta put in a rough tackle. 30 minutes into the game, one of Godalming City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Hurst Green a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dharmamandhu Sandhar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Godalming City's Ajitanatha Saxena. 2-0. Godalming City's Ajitanatha Saxena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manjit Sohota in the 36th minute of play. When Godalming City's Candravijaya Moktan in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hurst Green's goalie prevented a goal. Maciej Gajewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maciej Gajewski was the one to do the kick off. If Candravijaya Moktan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Godalming City's Maciej Gajewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shekhar Sabnis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Phillip Haming came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Godalming City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phillip Haming couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Hurst Green's Shekhar Sabnis got control of the ball when Maciej Gajewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manjit Sohota in the 61st minute of play forced Godalming City's goalkeeper Ajitanatha Saxena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godalming City's Ajitanatha Saxena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashwin Subba in the 71st minute of play. Ajitanatha Saxena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manjit Sohota in the 78th minute of play. Godalming City's Maciej Gajewski couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hurst Green. Ajitanatha Saxena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manjit Sohota in the 82nd minute of the match. Ajitanatha Saxena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dharmamandhu Sandhar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ajitanatha Saxena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ajitanatha Saxena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manjit Sohota, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Hurst Green were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Godalming City for a fine match.
