When Kujapa Hegde fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cafecito FC's protests and gave Kujapa Hegde a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, St Agnes's Brhat Takhar got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Aanand Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cafecito FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aanand Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kryspin Kosakowski couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute, Gong Yang Xi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cafecito FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Anika Chawla hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, St Agnes's goal looked a bit too open when Kujapa Hegde came free, but Sunita Yeddyurappa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sunita Yeddyurappa was a little too slow when Gong Yang Xi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-4.
