Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lymm AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Shyam Nahal was slow to take the kick. During this time Preston's players had a chance to rest. Preston's Shyam Nahal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kaldhuta Hegde in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Chaila Gopalkrishnan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lymm AFC's Arja Sambhi got a free kick in the 10th minute. Shyam Nahal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kaldhuta Hegde. Lymm AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kaldhuta Hegde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ranjith Dambria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Isat Saxena managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Lymm AFC's Chaila Gopalkrishnan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Chaila Gopalkrishnan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Isat Saxena 14 minutes into the match. Kujapa Hegde kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Lymm AFC defense, Camikara Rama kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaldhuta Hegde. The Lymm AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaldhuta Hegde should have stopped the shot. Mohinder Heer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Isat Saxena made a huge save. Chaila Gopalkrishnan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Isat Saxena made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Preston's zone, Mohinder Heer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isat Saxena came out of the goal and Mohinder Heer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, Preston's goalkeeper Isat Saxena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kujapa Hegde. Lymm AFC's Arja Sambhi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Isat Saxena but with some difficulty. Kujapa Hegde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lymm AFC's Kaldhuta Hegde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ranjith Dambria in the 35th minute of play. Ranjith Dambria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kaldhuta Hegde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Lymm AFC's Isat Saxena threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kujapa Hegde, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kushwah Paranjpe hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Chaila Gopalkrishnan came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Lymm AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chaila Gopalkrishnan couldn't finish the play. When Anudesya Gandhi fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lymm AFC's protests and gave Anudesya Gandhi a yellow card for diving instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Ranjith Dambria made the kick off in the second half. Camikara Rama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Kaldhuta Hegde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Lymm AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohinder Heer to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Preston getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Kushwah Paranjpe hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Aanand Fernandes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isat Saxena was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 63rdth minute of the game Kujapa Hegde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Preston's Isat Saxena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Preston's zone, Mohinder Heer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isat Saxena came out of the goal and Mohinder Heer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Kujapa Hegde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lymm AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kujapa Hegde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Chaila Gopalkrishnan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lymm AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chaila Gopalkrishnan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isat Saxena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 78 played minutes Lymm AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arja Sambhi. Camikara Rama recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lymm AFC's Chaila Gopalkrishnan got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kujapa Hegde in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isat Saxena saved Preston from getting behind. Kaldhuta Hegde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ranjith Dambria in the 84th minute. Mohinder Heer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Isat Saxena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Kujapa Hegde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lymm AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kujapa Hegde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isat Saxena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lymm AFC fully deserved thier win.
