In the 13th minute Kratukarana Vadhwa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jawaheer Varghese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Newport Unweited got a freekick which was hit by Jujhar Jethani. A collision led to Rawmarshsd City getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Akhila Choudhary hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Rawmarshsd City's Kanksita Shindi got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rawmarshsd City's zone, Bhupen Rani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jawaheer Varghese came out of the goal and Bhupen Rani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Newport Unweited's Bali Agrawal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Newport Unweited from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jujhar Jethani in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jawaheer Varghese saved Rawmarshsd City from getting behind. The supporters of Newport Unweited booed when Rawmarshsd City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javanila Kooner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sivarasa Mittal charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sivarasa Mittal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Newport Unweited's Bali Agrawal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jatinderpreet Goyal in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jujhar Jethani made a kick off. In the 51st minute Jujhar Jethani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jawaheer Varghese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jawaheer Varghese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jujhar Jethani in the 53rd minute of play. Rawmarshsd City's Amaradatta Vishwakarma got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Javanila Kooner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jujhar Jethani was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 66 played minutes Rawmarshsd City got a freekick which was hit by Divoja Pandey. When Kratukarana Vadhwa came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Newport Unweited fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kratukarana Vadhwa couldn't finish the play. Jawaheer Varghese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jujhar Jethani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Rawmarshsd City getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Jatinderpreet Goyal hit a great ball. Newport Unweited's Bali Agrawal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jatinderpreet Goyal in the 88th minute of play. Bhupen Rani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jawaheer Varghese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bhupen Rani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jawaheer Varghese having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Ili Daire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rawmarshsd City succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Newport Unweited had controlled the match.
