Indrayava Barmi started the match with the kick off. Amarajota Jain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 4th minute, Lall Chohan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NAGALAND FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Amarajota Jain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narinderpal Deol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indrayava Barmi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Candrajita Loey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leil Kumar's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Baryai More shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narinderpal Deol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Susheel Tamang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narinderpal Deol having to interfere. Leil Kumar struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Candrajita Loey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NAGALAND FC. After a rather tough play, India's Baryai More got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, India's Kameswar Verma got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute of the match Lall Chohan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Candrajita Loey skillfully saved the ball. Amarajota Jain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lall Chohan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Lall Chohan made a precise shot to the right of Candrajita Loey. India's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Amarajota Jain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Candrajita Loey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, India's goal looked a bit too open when Amarajota Jain came free, but Candrajita Loey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to India getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ahamyati Rane hit a great ball. NAGALAND FC's Lall Chohan got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Addana Sodhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amarajota Jain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Candrajita Loey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes of play, India's Indrayava Barmi made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Narinderpal Deol was left in no man's land by his defense there! India's Candrajita Loey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lall Chohan in the 72nd minute of play. Candrajita Loey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amarajota Jain in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kovida Kaur during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes India got a freekick which was hit by Kovida Kaur. After some careless play in the India defense, Amarajota Jain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Candrajita Loey. The India fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candrajita Loey should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amarajota Jain in the 84th minute of play forced India's goalkeeper Candrajita Loey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rajbir Rana fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored India's protests and gave Rajbir Rana a yellow card for diving instead. Rajbir Rana kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amarajota Jain in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Candrajita Loey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the NAGALAND FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
