HAMMER's Caruhasan Ghoshal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balastha Das in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, HAMMER's goalkeeper Caruhasan Ghoshal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balastha Das. In the 14th minute, Scunthorpe's Balastha Das dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Devarha Hundal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atamas Dambria, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sobha Mandal in the 24th minute of play forced Scunthorpe's goalkeeper Devarha Hundal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of HAMMER booed when Scunthorpe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dhyanayogi Nandu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Balastha Das was the one to do the kick off. Avijnatagati Dambria's late challenge caught a Scunthorpe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avijnatagati Dambria helped the player get up and apologised. When Balastha Das came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Scunthorpe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balastha Das couldn't finish the play. When Amitrajit Thakkur fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HAMMER's protests and gave Amitrajit Thakkur a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes HAMMER got a freekick which was hit by Amitrajit Thakkur. In the 61st minute Atamas Dambria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Devarha Hundal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Balastha Das took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caruhasan Ghoshal. Caruhasan Ghoshal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balastha Das in the 72nd minute of play forced HAMMER's goalkeeper Caruhasan Ghoshal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caruhasan Ghoshal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balastha Das in the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Scunthorpe's Balastha Das sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caruhasan Ghoshal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Balastha Das managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scunthorpe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balastha Das was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in HAMMER's zone, Balastha Das stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caruhasan Ghoshal came out of the goal and Balastha Das tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Scunthorpe getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Kamaljeet Linyu hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Mahendra Shindi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caruhasan Ghoshal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balastha Das, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rdth minute of the game Atamas Dambria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scunthorpe's Devarha Hundal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
