Sawek Pimsurin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jak Yunus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Nicasio Justo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Red Star FC's Kiattirat Choonama. Kiattirat Choonama was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jak Yunus was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Sawek Pimsurin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sawek Pimsurin really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Khachonkiat Polyiam made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Red Star FC's Amornthep Pangsaard. Jak Yunus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amornthep Pangsaard in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Red Star FC's Thanawat Wastanagoun got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Thanawat Wastanagoun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sawek Pimsurin to make the kick off.
