In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's goalkeeper Pikanate Savetvet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Domenec Cediel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Karlstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Farang FC's Teera Boonyonk quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Thosapol Laksanapiya, made in the 19th minute of the game. Marcus Karlstedt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wachirawit Kongpetch went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 24th minute, Wachirawit Kongpetch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thosapol Laksanapiya's late challenge caught a Farang FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thosapol Laksanapiya helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Thosapol Laksanapiya got a free kick in the 26th minute. Marcus Karlstedt came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Domenec Cediel. But to his dismay, Domenec Cediel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Marcus Karlstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Bernal in the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Sirikiat Waiyarup hit a great ball. With 40 minutes on the clock, Teera Boonyonk commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 40th match minute, Farang FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teera Boonyonk to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 41 minutes, Thosapol Laksanapiya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thosapol Laksanapiya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcus Karlstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sirikiat Waiyarup in the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Farang FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Andréas Kaxe hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute Artemio Bernal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Karlstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Karlstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Thosapol Laksanapiya made a great header on Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's corner, it was just that Farang FC's Marcus Karlstedt managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wachirawit Kongpetch got free with Marcus Karlstedt in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the game, Pong Watcharavitayakul was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Farang FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri the free kick. Domenec Cediel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Marcus Karlstedt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Farang FC's Marcus Karlstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wachirawit Kongpetch in the 87th minute of play. Marcus Karlstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wachirawit Kongpetch in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Nons Kheangraeng hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Phanlop Nimnoi got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri played a much better game than Farang FC and deserved their victory. The Farang FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
