Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Pikanate Savetvet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kachakon Vibulpan in the 26th minute of play. Kachakon Vibulpan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Pikanate Savetvet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute of the match, Sayan Kitiwinit got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pikanate Savetvet was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 44th minute Sirikiat Waiyarup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paiboon Permpol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Domenec Cediel made a kick off.
