Gideon Faturrahman came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Wachirawit Kongpetch. But to his dismay, Wachirawit Kongpetch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gideon Faturrahman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Bernal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Bilbao Baggins's goal looked a bit too open when Domenec Cediel came free, but Gideon Faturrahman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domenec Cediel kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Napapon Nasoongnearn put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pikanate Savetvet. Gideon Faturrahman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domenec Cediel's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Bilbao Baggins's goal looked a bit too open when Domenec Cediel came free, but Gideon Faturrahman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gideon Faturrahman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wachirawit Kongpetch, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 33 minutes, Piyapong Jamjai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri and the Bilbao Baggins players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri got a freekick which was hit by Piyapong Jamjai. Domenec Cediel struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gideon Faturrahman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri. In the 38th match minute, Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piyapong Jamjai to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Bilbao Baggins's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Bernal came free, but Gideon Faturrahman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pikanate Savetvet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wieslaw Domeracki in the 44th minute of play. Napapon Nasoongnearn's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Pikanate Savetvet skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domenec Cediel was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Gideon Faturrahman threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Artemio Bernal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gideon Faturrahman made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Domenec Cediel sent off a good shot on target. Artemio Bernal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 62 minutes into the match, Bilbao Baggins's goal looked a bit too open when Wachirawit Kongpetch came free, but Gideon Faturrahman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Bilbao Baggins booed when Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Bernal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gideon Faturrahman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thananiti Jaiyen, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th match minute, Bilbao Baggins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phuttaphan Maneerat to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, Bilbao Baggins's Wieslaw Domeracki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pikanate Savetvet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Domenec Cediel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Gideon Faturrahman made a huge save. In the 79th of the match, Artemio Bernal tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Gideon Faturrahman got in the way and made a wonderful save. A collision led to Bilbao Baggins getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Wieslaw Domeracki hit a great ball. Gideon Faturrahman made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Domenec Cediel sent off a good shot on target. Domenec Cediel might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gideon Faturrahman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domenec Cediel ran back to his position shaking his head. If Domenec Cediel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bilbao Baggins fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
