In the 20th minute Joni Sumardi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Imam Sitepu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Imam Sitepu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joni Sumardi went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Joni Sumardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joni Sumardi might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Imam Sitepu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joni Sumardi ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Muaradjuloi's Bintang Tanzier got a free kick in the 30th minute. Awaludin Karamoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uum Tanjung. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Awaludin Karamoy ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joni Sumardi in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Imam Sitepu saved Sepakbola Gajah United from getting behind. Imam Sitepu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from I Ketut Sunarya went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute, Vicky Affandy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Muaradjuloi's zone, Vicky Affandy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uum Tanjung came out of the goal and Vicky Affandy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and I Ketut Sunarya made a kick off. The corner led Muaradjuloi's Bintang Tanzier to fire away a dangerous shot which Imam Sitepu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 57 played minutes, Muaradjuloi's Djalil Aryanto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Imam Sitepu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Muaradjuloi reached it. I Ketut Sunarya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Imam Sitepu having to interfere. If I Ketut Sunarya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Joni Sumardi took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Imam Sitepu to make any attempt to save it. I Ketut Sunarya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82ndth minute of the game I Ketut Sunarya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sepakbola Gajah United's Imam Sitepu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Imam Sitepu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from I Ketut Sunarya, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. I Ketut Sunarya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Imam Sitepu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by I Ketut Sunarya in the 88th minute of play forced Sepakbola Gajah United's goalkeeper Imam Sitepu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Sepakbola Gajah United defense, Joni Sumardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Imam Sitepu. The Sepakbola Gajah United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Imam Sitepu should have stopped the shot.
