The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Baragajul FC's Maruli Marpaung ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aries Djorghi. Aries Djorghi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Gerard Kuipers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Anggakusuma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steven Anggakusuma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerard Kuipers having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Sakhtar Donetzk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Anggakusuma to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by I Made Zamani in the 19th minute of play forced Sakhtar Donetzk's goalkeeper Aries Djorghi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Sanusi succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Aries Djorghi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of I Made Zamani's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Baragajul FC's zone, Steven Anggakusuma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerard Kuipers came out of the goal and Steven Anggakusuma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sakhtar Donetzk's Aries Djorghi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Sakhtar Donetzk from getting a goal against them. Maruli Marpaung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maruli Marpaung took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aries Djorghi. Aries Djorghi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 42nd minute I Made Zamani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aries Djorghi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Sanusi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gerard Kuipers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Baragajul FC's Gerard Kuipers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Anggakusuma in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Yudho Sinaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 55 in the game by Daniel Sanusi from a close distance when the talented Gerard Kuipers managed to make a qualified save. Baragajul FC's players were relieved. A collision led to Sakhtar Donetzk getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Dede Mandagi hit a great ball. In the 66th match minute, Baragajul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yoppie Assegaf to maneuver through the defense. Gerard Kuipers was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paijo Mangkubumi. Yasraf Tauhid charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yasraf Tauhid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 68 played minutes Sakhtar Donetzk got a freekick which was hit by Yasraf Tauhid. I Made Zamani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yudho Sinaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Aries Djorghi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Maruli Marpaung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Baragajul FC's Wahyu Sumendap got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 81 played minutes Baragajul FC got a freekick which was hit by Wahyu Sumendap. Aries Djorghi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from I Made Zamani in the 84th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Sakhtar Donetzk's Steven Anggakusuma slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gerard Kuipers. That made the score 3-2 after 86 minutes of play. A collision led to Baragajul FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Wahyu Sumendap hit a great ball. I Made Zamani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. I Made Zamani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aries Djorghi having to interfere.
