After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Salman Moerdani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piava FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salman Moerdani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tata Napitupulu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulus Kalangi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Tata Napitupulu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Ignatius Wijatmiko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tehoru FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piava FC the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Tehoru FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignatius Wijatmiko to maneuver through the defense. Salman Moerdani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Paulus Kalangi came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Piava FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulus Kalangi couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the game, Salman Moerdani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piava FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tehoru FC the free kick. Tata Napitupulu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulus Kalangi in the 20th minute of play. Tata Napitupulu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulus Kalangi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulus Kalangi in the 28th minute of play forced Tehoru FC's goalkeeper Tata Napitupulu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tehoru FC booed when Piava FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. M. Ramdhan Latuconsina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Didin Makatita sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Piava FC's Porman Utina didn't even have to move. After 44 played minutes Piava FC got a freekick which was hit by Syamsir Bagjanata. Doyok Somantri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Porman Utina having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rendy Wahyudi to make the kick off. If Doyok Somantri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porman Utina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rendy Wahyudi in the 60th minute of play. When Bustanil Kuswoyo fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piava FC's protests and gave Bustanil Kuswoyo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Piava FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bustanil Kuswoyo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Tehoru FC's Rendy Wahyudi got a free kick in the 64th minute. Tata Napitupulu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulus Kalangi, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute.
