Izaak Wattimury fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurniawan Asmawi having to interfere. After having played for 8 minutes, Christian Sentanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sumurwangi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Sentanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Erol Jayakesuma fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kepulungan's protests and gave Erol Jayakesuma a yellow card for diving instead. Erol Jayakesuma kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Sumurwangi's Christian Sentanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Darius Surahman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sumurwangi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Charles Bajuri scored to the left of an out of position Kurniawan Asmawi, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahyadi Kartiko in the 20th minute of play forced Kepulungan's goalkeeper Darius Surahman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurniawan Asmawi made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Charles Bajuri sent off a good shot on target. Udin Siahaan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Charles Bajuri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kurniawan Asmawi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Ijong Kalangi hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Erol Jayakesuma got his second yellow card in the match during the 34th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Erol Jayakesuma kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Kurniawan Asmawi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charles Bajuri in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Izaak Wattimury got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Ijong Kalangi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Bajuri in the 53rd minute of play forced Sumurwangi's goalkeeper Kurniawan Asmawi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 played minutes Sumurwangi got a freekick which was hit by Ijong Kalangi. Darius Surahman made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Christian Sentanu sent off a good shot on target. If Charles Bajuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Bajuri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute Charles Bajuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurniawan Asmawi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mahyadi Kartiko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Izaak Wattimury charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Izaak Wattimury the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 95 minutes in the game, Christian Sentanu dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
