Ceppy Sulaiman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isman Hamid in the 33rd minute of play. If Kholil Prakoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yanyan Sukmara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Daeng Mamuaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kholil Prakoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kholil Prakoso in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daeng Mamuaya saved PSI Lasulewai from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Odoy Suryono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yanyan Sukmara in the 44th minute of play forced PSI Lasulewai's goalkeeper Daeng Mamuaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Kholil Prakoso got free with Daeng Mamuaya in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yanyan Sukmara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Daeng Mamuaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kholil Prakoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daeng Mamuaya having to make a save. Hamdani Guntara stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ceppy Sulaiman. 1-0. PSI Lasulewai's Daeng Mamuaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yanyan Sukmara in the 89th minute of play. Yanyan Sukmara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kholil Prakosos short, quick shot in the 99thth minute got Daeng Mamuaya to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew the final whistle, PSI Lasulewai could leave the field as winners, despite PSPS RIAU having more of the ball for most of the match.
