After some careless play in the Ciomas FC defense, Adrianus Husodo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Syahrul Damara. The Ciomas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Syahrul Damara should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, PSPS RIAU's Yanyan Sukmara got a free kick in the 13th minute. Adrianus Husodo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Honestra Rumbewas lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 24 minutes into the game, one of Ciomas FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Yanyan Sukmara managed to get in a good position for a shot. PSPS RIAU's supporters rose to their feet, but Yanyan Sukmara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Syahrul Damara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. PSPS RIAU's Adrianus Husodo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Adrianus Husodo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Syahrul Damara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 39thth minute of the game Yanyan Sukmara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciomas FC's Syahrul Damara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yanyan Sukmara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Syahrul Damara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ciomas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PSPS RIAU were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Darman Sjahrir stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ceppy Sulaiman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darman Sjahrir in the 52nd minute of play. Cucu Sudaryono struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Syahrul Damara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PSPS RIAU. Septian Bachtiar hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The nice shot from Yanyan Sukmara in the 65thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Syahrul Damara had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After having played for 66 minutes, Adrianus Husodo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSPS RIAU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrianus Husodo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yanyan Sukmara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Syahrul Damara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 71stth minute of the game Adrianus Husodo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciomas FC's Syahrul Damara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Syahrul Damara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianus Husodo in the 72nd minute of play. Cucu Sudaryono hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Syahrul Damara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrianus Husodo in the 76th minute of the match. If Yanyan Sukmara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrianus Husodo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Syahrul Damara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Syahrul Damara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yanyan Sukmara's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrianus Husodo in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Syahrul Damara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yanyan Sukmara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
